The name Have A Go was inspired by a TED talk by Sir Ken Robinson about education and creativity.

During his talk, he spoke about how children are naturally creative because they don’t experience much fear or shame when trying new things:

“Kids will take a chance. If they don’t know, they’ll have a go. They’re not frightened of being wrong.”

That phrase, have a go, stuck with us. It had a beautiful lightness and playfulness to it, especially considering the realities of the adult world we’ve created.

Wouldn’t it be great to experience what it felt like being a kid again, leaving the weight of the world behind?

Wouldn’t it be great if we just got on a bike, scooter, skateboard and just calmly moved around our cities, seeing other human faces, feeling the wind in our hair, and living in the moment for once?

The adult in you is now saying “Well, that’s unrealistic! What about the weather? What about long distances? What about the disabled?”

We hope to address those concerns with this site. But we also want to encourage you to think more like a kid again.

Let’s insert some fun into our lives!

Let’s be curious again.

Most importantly, let’s unfurl our collective brows at new ideas and brighter futures, let’s have a go and see how easy building a better future can be!
