Our vision is unapologetically corny, seemingly unrealistic, yet in the grand scheme of things, actually quite easy to accomplish:
We want to build a world that is beautiful, a world where cities are healthy, rich, vibrant, safe, and fun places to live.
To that end, our mission is to transition the way we move in our cities away from expensive, polluting, deadly, stressful, and anti-social modes of transportation to really fun, safe, accessible, super-affordable, extremely sustainable, and healthy ones.
We aim to help you move away from archaic cars, towards nimble, green, and fun little electric vehicles!
We introduce people to this new class of electric personal mobility.
We generate excitement about the benefits and joys of little electric vehicles.
And we help folks select the right electric ride that suits their needs and lifestyle.
A SEARCH ENGINE
Find the perfect electric ride!
To help people find an amazing electric ride that fits their needs and lifestyle, we created Have A Go, a search engine for little electric vehicles.
WHAT’S UP WITH
The name Have A Go was inspired by a TED talk by Sir Ken Robinson about education and creativity.
During his talk, he spoke about how children are naturally creative because they aren’t afraid of experimenting, trying new things:
Kids will take a chance. If they don’t know, they’ll have a go. They’re not frightened of being wrong.
That phrase “have a go” stuck with us, its beautiful lightness and playfulness, a bold contrast to the heavy realities adult world we’ve created.
Wouldn’t it be great to experience what it felt like being a kid again, leaving the weight of the world behind?
Wouldn’t it be great if we just got on a bike, scooter, skateboard and just calmly moved around our cities, seeing other human faces, feeling the wind in our hair, and living in the moment for once?
The adult in you is now saying “Well, that’s unrealistic! What about the weather? What about long distances? What about the disabled?”
We hope to address those concerns with this site. But we also want to encourage you to think more like a kid again.
Let’s insert some fun into our lives!
Let’s be curious again.
Most importantly, let’s unfurl our collective brows at new ideas and brighter futures, let’s have a go and see how easy building a better future can be!
